This Metallic Palm is grown for its attractive foliage. It is planted in small gardens or containers for a tropical effect. It is also used as an understorey plant in tropical gardens establishing from a pot in 3 to 5 years. SOIL: Well drained fertile moist loams humus rich and tending acid. POSITION: Semi-shade to bright filtered light with wind frost and drought protection. WATER & FEEDING: Water freely using soft water if possible from spring to Autumn; sparingly in winter. Feed with a weak fertizer in summer. CARE: Repot annually in spring. Sponge the leaves occassionally.
